The extension and refurbishment of a 1970’s infant school and the demolition of an existing junior school to create a primary school for 420 pupils.

The works were carried out in two distinct blocks:
Inception Works
These works included the relocation of distribution board and server from current admin area to tea prep room and Hall, the rearrangement of site access to separate contractors operations from schools, the realignment of site boundary fence and formation of contractor’s compound, site area and access road, installation of new electric supply from north, realignment of water and I.T. services, formation of new wildlife pond to the west, formation of temporary administration office within existing servery room, installation of temporary boiler house. These works all took place before the commencement of the building work.
Building and External Works
Phase One was the demolition of existing administration area, the erection of new build extension and formation of the external works.
Phase Two was the works to existing infant school. These works included the demolition of former servery area and erection of new classroom and group rooms, removal of asbestos, the demolition of two storey former Junior School and completion of external works including reinstatement of former Junior School site.
